A referral is not needed. If you have an injury or are recovering from an injury, you can make an appointment. Referrals are welcomed and plese bring all your documents if this is the case.

    Where can I park?

Parking is available directly in front of the Westpac Centre. 2 disabled parks are located in front of the clinic entrance. If this is full, you can also park on the oval on the western side of the building (turn left from the driveway if coming in Gate L).

What to expect when you see one of our Physiotherapists?

Your initial consult will last for about 40 minutes. You will be asked to fill in a new patient form which will include a brief review of your medical history and medication.

The Physiotherapist will ask you questions about your problem, what makes it worse, what makes it better, how it is affecting your life and what you are wanting to get back doing. A history of the current problem and previous episodes will also be investigated. Any relevant x-rays or reports will be reviewed to assist the therapist in working out what the problem is and how they can help you.

The Physiotherapist will then examine the problem area and so you may be asked to remove shirts or trousers to allow this.

Following the examination, the therapist will summarise their findings and discuss various treatment options with you. You will be given the opportunity to ask any questions and to contribute to the treatment plan so you can be involved in managing your injury right from the beginning.

Follow up appointments are normally 20 minutes in duration. If treatment doesn’t progress as anticipated, further examination, discussion and investigations will be considered and treatment adapted accordingly, aiming to achieve an optimal outcome for you as soon as possible.

  • How long is the consultation?

The initial consultation takes 40 minutes. Follow up appointments are normally at least 20 minutes.

    How can I pay?

We have HICAPS and EFTPOS facilities allowing you to claim your rebate from your health insurer on the day. Cash, Visa, Mastercard and American Express are also accepted.

We are a preferred provider for BUPA Health Insurance which will provide a reduction in the fees listed above. Pension card holders receive a $5.00 discount off consults.

Do you consult to children and seniors?

Our Physiotherapists are not only experienced in dealing with sports injuries. We have excellent skills in treating childhood and adolescent injuries and the more chronic problems of the older generation.

Children may receive treatment with no gap payment if you have private health insurance with BUPA and have specified for this option in your cover.

Seniors with a pension card receive a discount on specified Physiotherapy services.

    What should I bring?

For a consultation, it is advisable to wear loose fitting clothing as we will need to access the injured areas. If you have had x-rays and scans of the injured area in the last 2 years, it may be relevant to bring these along. If you are using the pool or gym equipment, bring a towel and drinking water.

    Do we do Home Visits?

The Physiotherapists do home visits to the surrounding suburbs of West Lakes as required.

    Can I use the facilities?

Facilities like the pool and gym are available if needed for your treatment in rehabilitation and recovery. The use of the facilities will be prescribed and managed by your Sports Medicine professional and are not available for general public use.

Will I see a Crows player?

Quite possibly. We treat Crows players nearly every day.
