Physio Group Exercise Sessions
Physio Group Exercise Session exercises involve movements of the whole body. Emphasis is on control of movement, maintenance of good posture, flexibility, breathing and developing a strong core.
The exercises have been used successfully as a method of rehabilitation for spinal pain, sciatica, arthritic conditions, postural problems including headache, work injuries, sports injuries and following hip, knee and shoulder surgery.
All clients are first assessed by our trained physiotherapists and have a program designed for their individual needs. Exercises are initially taught one on one to develop a good grasp of the fundamental principles. You can then continue on with your individual program in a class setting. Class numbers are kept small and are fully supervised by a Physiotherapist, to ensure correct technique and regular progression.
Steps to get started on your Physio Group Exercise Session Programme:
- Book in with a physio for an assessment
- Have 2 one on one sessions with the physio on the equipment to set up your individual programme
- Attend one of our small classes supervised by the physiotherapist
- Reassessment every 3 – 6 months to re-examine individual goals and update programmes
Most private health insurers offer a rebate for supervised classes.
